Subject: mandatory antler restrictions in 2017 NY Senate Budget Bill
Date: Thu, 16 Mar 2017 16:11:56 GMT
Like a cancer, the push to make mandatory antler restrictions in New York is spreading. It is now included in the 2017 Senate Budget Bill, which is a way to sneak it in with little notice, until hunting season comes around and you no longer have the ability to harvest the deer of your choice.
Contact your State Senator and tell them antler restrictions do not belong in the budget bill. It should be removed immediately!! When you call (everyday) just leave a message and tell them that Yearling Buck Protection will hurt our wildlife and take away the ability of the DEC to manage it; it does not belong in the budget bill.
Find your Senator and call him every day!
You also need to make those calls to your Assemblymember to make sure it does not wind up being adopted in that chamber too.
